Since I was a little boy my life has always been orientated around films of every genre, however, I have never really looked into what makes the movies I love so much so special and unique. In this blog I hope to achieve this by dissect the film industry and all the films that construct it, as I continue to search for what makes motion pictures of the past and present so magical. Through the latest reviews, top 10 lists and latest film news, including an extensive awards season coverage, join me as I dissect what it is about the film industry that continues to captivate and engage millions of people around the world daily.

My name is Ethan Tuxford and I am currently studying a Bachelor of Communications at university in Sydney, Australia. I am and have always been a huge lover of the cinema. It consumes my every thought, and that is probably why I day-dream a lot of time about being apart of the film industry. My most dreaded question is “What is your favourite movie?” How can anyone answer that? I have so many movies that I love and cherish including The Hours (2002), Doubt (2008), Casablanca (1942), To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), The Dark Knight (2008), La Vie En Rose (2007), Michael Clayton (2007), The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (2001-3), The Social Network (2010), Black Swan (2010), The Fighter (2010), Fight Club (1999), American Beauty (1999), Shakespeare in Love (1998), As Good As It Gets (1997), Beauty and the Beast (1991), Up in the Air (2009) and Up (2009). These the ones I can remember of the top of my head at 11 o’clock at night and I know there are hundreds more that I am neglecting in even attempting to compile this list. This blog is my second little pet project, the first pet project being my first feature screenplay. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I have enjoyed writing it and I look forward to discussing with you all in the future about the magic that is watching a movie.
